This photograph shows a locomotive and tender of the Colorado Central Railroad, in front of the section house above the Roundhouse at the foot of North Table Mountain in far eastern Golden.  Founded by William A.H. Loveland, construction began on the Colorado Central in 1868, with the arrival of the first train in 1870.
